Stone Details:
Mother-of-pearl is the iridescent inside lining of a mollusk shell. It is most commonly found in three types of mollusks—pearl oysters, freshwater mussels, and abalone. To protect the inside of their shells from parasites and foreign irritants, the mollusk coats it with nacre—an organic substance that gives mother-of-pearl its iridescent effect and distinct beauty.
This multicolored iridescence is caused by the way light reflects on the layers of nacre on the shell. 
 
Metaphysical Properties:
Pāua helps with emotional healing and growth. It brings protection and balance, making the person holding it feel calm. Pāua stones make people feel peaceful, happy, and calm by releasing sad and angry feelings.
It helps to enhance mental clarity and provides insight into decision-making and promotes cooperation between the self and others. It provides cohesive energy for groups.
 
 A message from Bec: 
Each stone has been hand picked by me based on its individual features, colors and energy. I carefully wrap each stone in a wire that showcases the stones features and energies. Each piece of wire used is carefully woven, wrapped, twisted and moulded by hand around the stone to create an individual piece.
Some pieces can take up to a week to finish depending on the amount of detail needed to wrap it . I like to balance the energy of the stone with the metal its wrapped in and channel specific energy as I wrap it, to bring the pieces to life for the wearer.
 
I am of Irish, Scottish and Scandinavian roots and believe the energy from my ancestral past helps me create each piece. Magical and loving energy along with the feeling of the old ways channels through me as I create each piece and I truly feel there is a symbiotic nature flowing between me, the metal and the stone.

Care Instructions For Jewellery:
Included with all jewellery pieces is a small polishing cloth, if your piece needs cleaning its reccomended you use the cloth only. 
Copper pieces:
If you want your piece to oxidise over time and turn hues of green & teal I recommend letting your piece naturally oxidise over time. Exposure to water. humidity and sweat will speed up this process.
If you want to keep your metal shiny, use your polishing pad to remove any tarnish whenever needed.
Silver & Gold Pieces:
Please use the polishing pad only to clean your piece, wipe gently. harsh polishing will harm the plating.
